A Short Example of How to Make Wakes

This is not meant as a complete tutorial.  I just wanted to offer a quick example on one way to create wakes and interaction with water in AM.  It uses techniques from my main "wave" tutorial so I would recommend reading that one before continuing.  Lastly, this example was done in AM2001 8.5.  I plan on releasing a complete tutorial for AM2002 version 9 in the future, but until then this should get you started.

(1)  The first thing I did was make a grid plane to be my water.  Then composed my animation of the boat moving along the water.

(2) I created a second camera, aimed it straight down and made it an  "orthogonal" camera and scale it to the model of the water.

(3)  I created next a copy of the boat model and made sections of it a particle emitter (3 in all) and rendered it out with everything else turned off.

(3)  Next I created a wave map (see here for more info)
